Salvation

Salvation Is A Free Gift From God!

God loves you and wants you to be in a relationship with Him.

Salvation is available to everyone who will believe. There is nothing you can do to earn it; not doing good deeds, not being a good person, not praying 5 times a day.....not even having perfect church attendance!

You see, salvation is available to you not because of anything you do or did, but because of what Jesus Christ did on the cross of Calvary. When he hung on that tree it cost Him his his blood and life to reconcile (restore your relationship with God)  you to God. You need to be reconciled to God because the Bible teaches that all of us are serparted from Him because of sin. Sin is dark and it is painful, sin is anything you've ever done that has gone against God's expressed desire. Maybe you stole a pack of gum or lied to your parents when you were a kid. As an adult, maybe you've cheated on your taxes or called in sick to your employer when you really weren't sick or perhaps you've stepped out on your wife or husband. Do you get the picture?

Because God loves you so much and because you can't pay the cost he sent Jesus Christ to pay the price for your sin and wrong doing! Don't take my word for it! Go to the Bible, open it and read it for yourself or if you don't have a Bible just scroll down!

Are you ready? What the Bible says:

About Sin

Romans 3:10 - As it is written: "There is no one righteous, not even one"

Romans 3:23 - "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God...."

Romans 6:23 - "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God                      is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."

About God's Love

Romans 5:8 - " But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."

John 3:16 - "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son , that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."

Titus 3: 4-5 "But when the kindness and love of God our Savior  appeared, he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy...."

About The Son of God, Jesus Christ

Matthew 3:17 -"And a voice from heaven said 'This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.' "

Roman 1:3-4 - "....regarding his Son , who as to his human nature was a descendant of David, and who through the Spirit of holiness was declared with power to be the Son of God by his resurrection from the dead; Jesus Christ our Lord."

About Believing

John 1:12 - "Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God."

Acts 2:21 - " 'And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved' "

Acts 4:12 - " 'Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.' "

Romans 10:9-10 -" 'That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord" and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.' "

So there you have it! Salvation  is available to all who believe and is simple as ABC!

  • Accept the fact that you are a sinner!
  • Believe in  your heart Jesus Christ can reconcile you to God!
  • Confess with your mouth that you want salvation through Jesus Christ!

No one can force you or convince you you must be saved! You have to want a relationship with God through Jesus Christ. If you are ready to believe and receive him, he promises to bless you abundantly....for the rest of your life!

IF YOUR READY, PRAY SOMETHING LIKE THIS:

God today I have come to understand that you have always wanted me to have a relationship with you. I understand that I am a sinner and that my sin has separated me from you. Today I confess that Jesus Christ is your Son, that you raised him from the dead and that he paid the penalty for my sin. Right now I accept him as my Lord and Savior. I promise that with your help I will obey him and live for him for the rest of my life. Thank you God for saving me today. In Jesus name, Amen.
